Walking in the Flowers

This newly launched 7 day journey is suited to those wishing to spend most of their time outdoors exploring nature and the Spring wildflowers on foot on a variety of walking trails in nature reserves and on private farms. Participants need to be fit and healthy and able to walk at a leisurely pace for a few hours at a time. Group size is limited to 8 participants to ensure a personal and memorable experience.

What you need to know:
Includes: Accommodation in comfortable guest houses*; transport in an air conditioned 14 seater vehicle**; English speaking expert hiking guide; all meals; all entrances

Excludes: Drinks, personal expenses, unspecified meals, items of a personal nature ie. tipping, curios, telephone, camera's, etc.

Notes: * Please be aware that due to the location of the flowers we are often staying in small villages where accommodation is limited so standards may differ between different guest houses available. In Niewoudtville a bathroom may be shared between 2 rooms

**should the tour participants be less than expected we reserve the right to use the best sized vehicle for the no. of persons booked on the tour.

Climate: Namaqualand is a semi-desert area with warm day temperatures all year round. Night temperatures can be cold.  In spring (August- September) temperatures average 20 C in the day and 7 C at night 
Health requirements: Participants need to be fit, healthy and able to walk at a leisurely pace for a few hours at a time

Suitable for: Those interested in exploring nature and the Spring flowers on foot

Clothing: Suitable walking shoes and comfortable clothing and a warm, lightweight/waterproof jacket, hat and sunscreen required. Day pack to carry picnic lunch and drinking water
