Climate: Namaqualand is a semi-desert area with warm day temperatures all year round. Night temperatures can be cold. In Spring (August – September) temperatures average 20C in the day and 7C at night
Season variation in flowers: The flowers are totally dependent on the weather and rainfall conditions from year to year. We schedule all our tours to depart at the peak flowering period (mid-August-mid September); however, we cannot guarantee that the weather conditions will be optimal in advance. We reserve the right to change the itinerary to include the best flowering regions for each tour departure and should the weather conditions affect the flower display your guide will ensure that you discover the best natural highlights of each region.
Health requirements: None although leisurely walking amongst the flowers is recommended
Suitable for: Those interested in experiencing one of the world’s natural miracles
